Digital Photography
This 15-hour course is designed for anyone interested in learning how to better use an SLR (single lens reflex) digital camera, which allows for more manual functionality.  The focus of this class is primarily for point/shoot and advanced point and shoot cameras; however, if your camera is a digital single lens reflex (DSLR) this is not a problem.  This class will cover the changing features, modes, functions such as aperture and shutter speed, organizing computer files, uploading pictures to a computer, and will discuss composition and elements of good design.  The instructor will touch briefly on basic photo editing and enhancement techniques through the power of adjustment layers, effects and filters; as well as how to manage files and raw image conversion in Adobe Photoshop.  Attendees must own a digital camera and should be prepared to bring this camera (and manual if available) to class for discussion and the uploading of images for display.  There will be NO make-ups for missed hours.
