The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) has instituted the following performance criteria for teachers working in an NAEYC accredited program.
By 2010:• A teacher must have a minimum of an Associates degree or equivalent.By 2015:
• A teacher must have a minimum of an associate’s degree or equivalent
• A teacher must be working toward a baccalaureate degree or equivalent.
