LEARN TO BECOME A TEACHER AT QVCC INFORMATION SESSION (10/26/09)

DANIELSON, CT — Quinebaug Valley Community College is holding a Teaching Career Information Session at the Danielson campus on Thursday evening, November 12. The session is open to anyone interested in learning how to become a teacher and will provide information on early childhood, elementary, and secondary teaching.


Representatives from Eastern Connecticut State University and QVCC will discuss the Traditional Route to Teacher Certification from 5:30-7:30 pm. Career professionals with a bachelor's or master's degree can hear Maria Davoudi from the Connecticut Department of Higher Education speak about the Alternative Route to Certification from 6:15-8:30 pm.

The session will cover eligibility requirements, coursework content, application procedures, and transfer requirements. For more information, call the QVCC Career Center at 412-7266.
