Thinking about learning to ride a motorcycle but don’t know if it’s for you? Try before you buy
your bike. New in 2009, QVCC is offering a PreRider Course as an introduction to motorcycle
riding.
This class is for very new beginners who want to learn to ride but have never been around a motorcycle
or who have only been a passenger. The course will consist of riding and instruction time
in an outdoor setting.
You will learn where the controls are and how to operate them, the proper way to dress while riding,
clutch control (Friction Zone) and the basic operational techniques for straight line riding and
braking. Class size is small (maximum 4-6 students) which will allow more individualized attention.
You must provide and wear: Long sleeved shirt or jacket, long jeans, full-fingered gloves, boots or
shoes that cover the ankle, and glasses/goggles. If you have a helmet, it must be D.O.T. approved. The class will run rain or shine.
All classes will be held in Norwich.
