STRIDE
Quinebaug Valley Commuity College welcomed back four employees of the STRIDE Program on September 11. The employees were laid off July 1, 2009 due to the unresolved state budget. Skills, Transition, Respect, Integrity, Direction and Employment,(STRIDE) are the words that represent this program. It has been in existence since 1999, serving hundreds of men and women throughout the state of Connecticut. STRIDE enhance’s public safety by keeping ex-offenders out of prison and assisting them with job skills and placement, self- esteem builders and family re-unification.
