Quinebaug Valley Community College requires that:

1. All College-sponsored trips have a faculty/staff member designated as representing the College.

2. Anyone organizing a College-sponsored trip must complete a College-Sponsored Trip Authorization Form at least two weeks prior to any trip and file that form with the Dean in his/her area. The form is available from the faculty secretary.

3. Planning for any College-sponsored trip includes the development of any necessary accommodations to ensure that the trip is accessible to people with disabilities.

4. Necessary arrangements with the Business Office must be completed.

This is just to remind you that the decision to cancel classes due to weather is made by the College President and should not be made individually by instructors. In the event that a class is cancelled, teaching time must be made up. Please inform this office in writing of your plans for making up class time.

 Emergency Procedures

In case of an emergency:

1. Go to the nearest phone and call 911. Clearly state the problem and location.

2. Report the situation to the Learning and Student Development Office, or Maintenance if LSD is closed.

3. Evacuate the building by exiting calmly through nearest outside door.

4. Non-ambulatory persons on the second floor should be brought to the Center Stairwell.
