    Students in the new library

The QVCC Library has long been a very active and vibrant part of the QVCC community.  We encourage open collaboration, as well as offer one-on-one researching sessions to assist students with their work.  If a student wants to “get away,” the expansion is giving us additional space off the beaten path where students can study in a more tranquil setting.

Periodicals, a staple of any library collection, will be given new prominence in the revised layout.  A periodical reading area, complete with comfortable seating and magazines displayed a more inviting fashion, will encourage our users to relax and read, or sit and converse with friends between classes.Students in the new library

Library Classroom

The old library classroom contained eight computers.  After expansion, this area will allow space for more than 20 computers, which can be utilized during library instruction sessions or for general research use.  The additional computers will also help lessen the wait for a computer during our peak points of use during the semester.
