Faculty assessment of student performance should be a continuous process, and should reflect concern about each student's progress.

At the present, mid-term grade reports are not required. If an instructor offers a mid-term exam, the results are not reported to the Student Services Office.

An instructor concerned about the academic progress of a student at any time during the semester may seek assistance from a Student Services counselor in arranging a consultation with the student.

It is advisable to make such a determination well in advance of the deadline for students to withdraw from a course or to change to pass/fail.
