Receiving Help

  1. Identify to yourself that you are having difficulty with some aspect of your life, and that this difficulty is affecting your college performance.  What would you like to have happen instead?

  2. Review the member list of the support team and choose one member to approach. Or, talk to your instructor and have him/her approach the support team member, either in person, telephone, or e-mail.
  3. The team member will help you determine the best way to find a solution.  This could be done in several ways.  For example:

        1.      Suggest already established tools and services that             you could utilize.

        2.      Set up a meeting between you and key team              members with expertise in the field in                                which you are having difficulty.

        3.      Call a full support team meeting with you and the              instructor present.

  4.  After support has been given a communication line will be established between you and the support team to help monitor your improvements.
