CLEP and DANTES

College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST) provide a widely recognized way for Quinebaug Valley Community College students to earn credit for knowledge acquired from a variety of learning experiences. Contact the Learning Center for listing of examinations that may be taken.

To Register:

  1. Make appointment for a CLEP or DANTES examination in Learning Center and select examination fee payment option for your CLEP test. IMPORTANT NOTE: You may register for only one CLEP examination per appointment.
  2. Fill in registration card with Banner ID, Name, Address, City, State, Name of CLEP examination
  3. Take registration card to Business Office and pay the QVCC test administration fee ($15.00 for the 2002-2003 academic year).
  4. On the test date, report to Learning Center. Bring a photo ID. Pay CLEP/DANTES examination fee according to previously agreed upon payment option. Examination dates are by appointment only.

Note: New students starting in the Fall semester may take a CLEP/DANTES test only after November 1st. New Spring semester students may take a CLEP/DANTES after April 1st.
