LCD Remote Controller - NEC MT850

Availability

Remote controllers are available for all the LCD projectors located throughout the college. Where you go to obtain a remote depends on the location of the particular LCD projector. For all projectors installed in any of the computer classrooms request a remote from the staff on duty in room 124. Remotes for the LCD projectors on a cart are available at the library circulation desk. Remotes for the Medical Assisting Lab & for the Physics lad are kept in those classrooms.

Functions

In addition to turning the projectors OFF and ON these remotes have several other useful functions including:

Button Index

  1. Laser Pointer Beam: laser beam output.
  2. LED: flashes when any button is pushed.
  3. Power On Button: Use to turn on the projector.
  4. Power Off Button: Use to turn the projector off (press for at least two seconds).
  5. Source Buttons: Choose between video, s-video, and two computer inputs.
  6. Auto Adjust Button (RGB Only): Adjusts horizontal and vertical positioning, pixel and resolution to the optimum.
  7. PJ Button: Press this button to enable/disable the remote mouse features of the remote.
  8. Laser Button: Activates the laser pointer.
  9. Menu Button: Displays the menu for various adjustments and options.
  10. Mouse Thumb Button: Maneuver the mouse or the pointer.
  11. Enter/Left Click Button (underneath): When used as a remote mouse emulates the left mouse button.
  12. Cancel/Right Click Button: When used as a remote mouse emulates the left mouse button.
  13. Pointer Button: Used with the Mouse Thumb Button to point to an area of screen to magnify.
  14. Help Button: Displays help for the current menu item.
  15. Keystone Button: Use this button to adjust an out-of-square image resulting from projecting an image at an angle.
  16. Magnify Button: Zoom in or out on a section of the screen.
  17. Freeze Button: Freeze a picture. Press again to unfreeze.
  18. Picture Mute Button: Turn off the image and sound for a brief period of time.
  19. Volume Button: When audio signals are run through the projector adjusts the volume up and down.
  20. PC Card Button: Displays the contents of a PC Card inserted in the projector.
  21. Slide Button: Select the next folder or slide on a PC Card.
  22. Folder List Button: Displays a list of folders included on a PC Card.
  23. Slide List Button: Displays a list of slide included on a PC Card.
  24. Remote Jack: Connect a remote control cable for wired operation.
