NEASC – Significant issues and initiatives for the next five years

QVCC will benefit from the expansion of the Danielson campus not only from the additional learning space for learners and the greater northeast Connecticut community, but the programmatic and technologic enhancements. We will need to efficiently implement, market, and maximize this expanded capacity as well as what we have gained through the renovations to existing space. Enrollment growth will continue, primarily in young full time students, many of whom plan to transfer. This will require a systematic review of activities and services at both sites. Staffing will continue to be restricted even with the influx of new personnel. Continuing to identify efficiencies while maintaining quality and our driver of Learners First will be critical. New academic programs will need to be developed, both credit and noncredit, to meet changing needs but within available human and fiscal resources.
