QVCC HOLDS KIDS ACADEMY DURING SCHOOL BREAK
Parents
who are looking for interesting and creative activities to keep their
children busy during February school break week can look no farther than
Quinebaug Valley Community College.
The ever popular Kids Academy will be in session from February 18–22 at the Danielson campus. This program provides stimulating learning opportunities throughout the year for kids ages 6–15.
Morning programs include Harry Potter’s Wizardry (ages 6-8), Sherlock Holmes’ Young Detectives (ages 9-11) and Web Page Design (ages 12-15). Afternoon programs are Food Artistry (ages 6-8), Archeological Treasure Hunters (ages 9-11) and Young Veterinarians (ages 12-15).
Flyers have been distributed in all local schools and are also available at the Center for Community & Professional Learning at QVCC. Call 412-7300 for scholarship applications, more information, or to register. Parental forms are available on the college’s web site at www.qvcc.commnet/cpl/kids. Kids Academy will also hold March Art Weekends and April School Break Week.
