QVCC ART STUDENTS ADD THEIR TOUCH FOR THE CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL
Introduction to Studio Art students at Quinebaug Valley Community College‘s Willimantic Center designed and decorated the windows along the Main Street Center as part of the window decorating contest for the fourth Annual Chocolate Festival. The students work is title “Chocolate is a Creature Comfort”.

Adjunct faculty member Eric Spencer is the art instructor for this course
at the Willimantic Center. This introductory course includes studio
assignments that involve working with a variety of materials, discussions of
work and discussion of various artists.
The public is invited to visit the Willimantic Center on Saturday, February
16th, 2008 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm for a tour and cup of hot chocolate.
The QVCC Willimantic Center is located at 729 Main Street in Willimantic,
CT. It was established in 1986 in an effort to provide educational
opportunities to residents in the southwestern corner of QVCC’s service
region and expanded in 2005. The Center houses 10 classrooms, state-of-the
art computer labs, a library and a student lounge.
