SECOND ANNUAL EARTH WEEK ART CONTEST CO-SPONSORED BY QVCC
Third and fourth grade students in northeast Connecticut are
invited to participate in the second annual Earth Week Art Contest,
co-sponsored by Nurture the Children, Quinebaug Valley Community College
Multicultural Planning Committee and QVCC Student Government Association.
This year’s theme is global warming and prizes will be awarded in the
categories of green construction, renewable fuels, renewable electric
production and what can I do to help? Projects must be a poster,
diorama or paper-maché and must be constructed from recycled material.
Art work must be submitted on Saturday, April 19th, noon – 4 pm in the
atrium at QVCC. Projects will be judged by QVCC faculty in the art, science
& construction technology departments. Art work will be displayed during
Earth Week and awards will be presented on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 7 pm
in the QVCC atrium.
