QVCC STUDENTS RECEIVE ACADEMIC AWARDS AT COMMENCEMENT
Six Quinebaug Valley Community College graduating students were recipients of the Board of Trustees Medallion for Academic Excellence at the college’s commencement on May 31.
The prestigious Medallion is awarded in recognition of outstanding academic
accomplishment of associate degree graduates of the community colleges. To
be eligible students must be graduating with an associate's degree and have
a cumulative grade point average of 4.00 and must complete at least 50% of
the degree requirements in residence at the community-technical college
awarding the degree.
This year’s recipients were Philhemina L. Boone of Norwich, Marie D. Hoffman of Plainfield, Jullie M. Patterson of Brooklyn, Steve A. Randolph of Dayville, Megan M. Therrien of Webster, MA, and Michael J. Toussaint of North Windham.
In addition, Jullie Patterson was the recipient of the President’s Award,
presented to the degree graduate with the highest academic average with at
least 45 credits earned in residence at QVCC.
