Funds raised will benefit Partners in Health (PIH). PIH was founded in 1987 by Dr. Paul Farmer, Thomas J. White, and Todd McCormack to support medical activities in Haiti. Today, there are 11,000 employees working in 49 health centers and hospitals across 11 countries . PIH was made famous by Tracy Kidder’s best-selling book Mountains Beyond Mountains, which is focused on Dr. Paul Farmer.
