1. Access a WebCT Class
    a. Open a web browser, Internet Explorer.
    b. Go to: http://webct.ctdlc.org *
* Additional firewalls or filters added by your Internet Service Provider may block WebCT. If you are not able to access webct.ctdlc.org with Internet Explorer, you may use the Mozilla browser downloadable at www.mozilla.org with the pop-up blocker turned off. Click here for instructions.
*Pop-up Blockers cause problems in using WebCT tools such as Discussions, Email, Quizzes, Assignments, and etc. You must turn off the pop-up blocker on your browser.
*The technical requirements for WebCT are listed at http://www.ctdlc.org/Help/requirements.html
    c. Click "Log In To" link.  Type the WebCT ID and password, and then click Login button.
        WebCT ID: Banner ID without @
        Password: PIN(exact 6 characters in length)
    This PIN is the same PIN used for Self-Service Student Information System (Banner) (www.online.commnet.edu, click Login button to do web registration and check your grade).   Your first time access PIN is the birth date of "mmddyy".

        For instance, John Doe's Banner ID is @00079897 and his birth date is April 9, 1982. He has never logged on to the
Self-Service Student Information System (Banner).
    Then his WebCT access is:
        WebCT ID: 00079897
        Password: 040982

    d. Click the class name to enter the class WebCT site.

2. When your PIN does not work, you may

    a. Check the PIN length.  If the PIN you use in the Self-Service Student Information System (Banner) is longer than 6 characters, enter the first 6 characters as WebCT password.  

    b. Check the PIN hint question
    -Go to www.online.commnet.edu
    -Click Login link.  Type your Banner ID with @ sign such as: @00089789, and click "Forgot PIN?" button.  You will see the hint question.  The hint question will help you recall the PIN.  If you answer the Hint question correctly, you are prompt to enter a new password. Be sure to enter a password with exactly 6 character in length.

    c. Reset the PIN back to your birth date: Contact the following offices:

Danielson campus: LSD office or Learning Center at: (860) 774 -1130

Willimantic campus: (860) 423 - 1824
