Connect for Success
New for the fall 2013 term, students who are new to college will be paired with a success counselor. We are committed to helping you graduate from QVCC.
To provide students with a personal point of contact to aid them during their first year of college. Studies have shown that the first semester of college is the most vital in predicting graduation and retention as a student.
What to expect:
Your counselor will contact you during the first two weeks of the semester.
You will have an informal discussion about how your semester has started and answer any questions you might have regarding your courses, how to get a tutor, handling stress of school or anything else you would like to discuss.
Your counselor will be available for consultation during your first year.
Our ultimate goal:
To help you to succeed in your college experience and to empower you to be self-sufficient and proficient during your college years here and as you move beyond QVCC.
Your success at QVCC is not only important to you, it’s important to us. The staff is ready and willing to help you throughout your time at the college.
